Northern Molong Porphyry Project

Encompassing Boda-Kaiser

Key targets in the Northern Molong Porphyry Project

A prospective gold corridor with high porphyry potential

Alkane’s Northern Molong Porphyry Project (NMPP) is located near Wellington in the Central West region of NSW. It covers an area of 180 square km, encompassing a 15km northwest trending corridor considered highly prospective for large porphyry and epithermal gold-copper deposits.

The project incorporates the Boda and Kaiser resources and a number of exploration licences. Other key targets include Finns Crossing, Comobella, Driell Creek, and Konigin.

Significant exploration has been underway since 2019.

Boda and Kaiser resources

Alkane discovered the large gold-copper porphyry system at Boda in 2019. Since then we have released initial Inferred Mineral Resource Estimates for the Boda deposit and the nearby Kaiser deposit.

The Boda and Kaiser deposits lie within a 3.5km corridor of extensive calc-potassic alteration associated with alkalic gold-copper porphyry mineralisation.

Together, the Boda-Kaiser resources so far represent a total metal inventory of 8.3 million ounces of gold and 1.5Mt of copper. This indicates a new large-tonnage gold-copper porphyry district with multi-billion-dollar potential is being defined.

Ongoing exploration

Alkane’s drilling program continues in the Boda-Kaiser corridor, testing northwest and southern extensions – including Boda 2 and Boda 3.

Beyond the Boda system, we seek to identify additional intrusive and mineralising centres within the longer 15km corridor using a mix of drilling, aeromagnetic and electrical geophysics.

Key targets include Finns Crossing, Comobella, Driell Creek and Konigin.

Geology

The Northern Molong Porphyry Project is located at the northern end of the Ordovician-aged Molong Volcanic Belt of the Macquarie Arc.

Alkane has a number of exploration targets adjacent to five discrete magnetic/intrusive complexes (Kaiser, Boda, Comobella, Driell Creek and Finns Crossing) within a 15km northwest trending corridor.

Incorporating Boda-Kaiser, the corridor is defined by intermediate intrusives, lavas and breccias, extensive alteration and widespread, low-grade, gold-copper mineralisation.
